We are true animal lovers and believe in bedtime stories, homemade dog biscuits, and lots and lots of love. Being able to respond to a pet's emotional needs is our forte. Separation anxiety, shyness, and hyperactivity all dissolve away under the Turtle Lake Pet Camp's positive experience. With outdoor exercise, healthy living in clean air, and 38 acres of forest trails, your pets will never want to leave!
At the end of each action-filled day, the furry clients collapse into their individual soft platform beds to dream of more fun to come the next day. Their twitching legs and flickering eyelids tell the story. To us, everything is right with the world when your pet is content to sleep and then eager to wake up and start the next day with more indoor AND outdoor fun and play.
Hours
We at Turtle Lake Pet Camp ask that you schedule a drop off and pick up time with the staff in advance, and try to keep to that time.
We DO require that first time guests arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your departure so that your pets can be gently introduced to the other animals with whom they will be spending the next few days/weeks before you depart for YOUR Muskoka exerience. This will also enable us to assess your pet's personality, asking you questions along the way.
Fleas
We at Turtle Lake Pet Camp pride ourselves on how clean and healthy our animals are. We may come across deer, moose, grouse, and even the occasional shy bear off in the distance, but never do we want to cross paths with a flea. Consequently, all incoming pets will be flea combed. If any nasties are found, your animal will be rejected with no refund of any deposit.
Aggressive dogs
We regret that any aggressive dogs will either be turned away, or will be charged twice the regular rate to compensate for the extra staff time in caring for that animal (and that animal would also be caged when not out on an individual walk on a leash). This will be at the sole discretion of the Pet Camp staff.
